Have you already reached an agreement and just need a little bit of help preparing the legal documents to formalise your agreement?
We offer a number of online solutions below to assist you to DIY formalising your agreement without lawyers. We have prepared these solutions to offer an affordable option in between having a lawyer do it all for you (which we can definitely do if you prefer) or completely doing it all yourself and trying to make sense of the process without missing anything.
We know that legal services are sometimes not in the budget but we also want you to be protected from the dire consequences that can flow from not legally formalising your agreement.
You have completed the hard part in reaching an agreement. However, a handshake and/or signed piece of paper is just not going to cut it in these circumstances!
Our below solutions will guide you through the process of making your agreement legal, in a cost-effective and efficient manner at a fixed price.
Your documents will be prepared by a lawyer based on the information provided by you. The below solutions do not include legal advice and we can provide independent legal advice at an additional fee if requested.
Solution 01.
Keeping the House
This solution will provide you with a completed Application for Consent Orders and Consent Orders documenting your property agreement for you to lodge with the Court.
This solution is for you if:
- One of you is keeping the house often in exchange for a payment to the other person;
- There is no other properties (house, land etc) owned by either of you;
- You are both respectively keeping other items you each own like cars and superannuation; and
- You don’t own any business/es, trusts and have a relatively simple financial structure.
This solution enables you to lodge your agreement with the Court. Your agreement is still subject to the discretion of the Court as to whether it is considered just and equitable.
This solution will give you a stamp duty exemption on the property transfer. Please note that this solution does not include the transferring of the property following Court Orders and you will need to engage a Conveyancer to assist you with this separately.
Further, this pricing does not include the Court Filing Fee presently $170 that will be payable directly to the Court when submitting your application.

Solution 02.
Selling the House
This solution will provide you with a completed Application for Consent Orders and Consent Orders documenting your property agreement for you to lodge with the Court.
This solution is for you if:
- You are selling the house and have agreed about the division of the sale proceeds;
- There is no other properties (house, land etc) owned by either of you;
- You are both respectively keeping other items you each own like cars and superannuation; and
- You don’t own any business/es, trusts and have a relatively simple financial structure.
This solution enables you to lodge your agreement with the Court. Your agreement is still subject to the discretion of the Court as to whether it is considered just and equitable.
Please note that this solution does not include the sale of the property following Court Orders and you will need to engage a Conveyancer and Real Estate agent to assist you with this separately.
Further, this pricing does not include the Court Filing Fee presently $170 that will be payable directly to the Court when submitting your application.

Solution 03.
The House and Superannuation
This solution will provide you with all required correspondence with the Superannuation fund and a completed Application for Consent Orders and Consent Orders documenting your property agreement for you to lodge with the Court. This solution is for you if you need to divide superannuation in addition to property solution 1 or 2 above. Solution 3 includes the pricing of solution 1 or 2.
This is applicable for accumulation interest funds and does not include Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, Defined Benefit funds and/or pensions.
Please note, our pricing does not include the Court Filing Fee presently $170 that will be payable directly to the Court when submitting your application.

Solution 04.
Joint Divorce
This solution will provide you with a completed Divorce Application for you to lodge with the Court.
A divorce is the legal ending/dissolution of your marriage. It does not finalise or include property and/or parenting matters.
To apply for a Divorce you will need to satisfy the following requirements:
- Have been separated for a period of at least 12 months;
- Satisfy the citizenship requirements to be eligible to apply in Australia;
- Have lived separately and apart for at least 12 months (not under one-roof);
- Your wedding was more than 2 years ago;
- That proper arrangements have been made for any children under 18.
Please note, our pricing does not include the Court Filing Fee presently $940 (or $310 if you are eligible for a concession) that will be payable directly to the Court when submitting your application.
